Chicago Carp Classic
2001 - Des Plaines River, Joliet, IL
| The 8th annual Chicago Carp
Classic took place on Saturday, September 29 2001, this time on the Des
Plaines River in Joliet, Illinois. The event was moved because of
the on-going construction on Lower Wacker Avenue in downtown Chicago.
As always, the event was hosted
by the Carp Anglers Group,
an international organization based in Illinois, dedicated to promoting
carp fishing and teaching specific angling methods, as well as appreciation
for the carp as a worthy, sporting fish.
